Words by Jeff Ward. Pictures by Barrie Wentzell. One of a series of articles called 'Band Breakdown' that appeared in the sadly defunct Melody Maker in the early 70s. We did the interviews in the short gap between arriving back from a US tour on Nov 5th and starting a UK tour on Nov 12th. I've had to chop the double page spread into small sections. This has led to some very different type sizes, but it should all be legible - with a bit of zooming in and out.
